I'm so not very good at writing out my thoughts for people to read

Well, I guess I feel inspired to write something new here since April Jones has such an AWESOME blog. ha-ha!! But I can never figure out how to make mine look that good ... I'm still learning all this stuff!!!

These are pictures of me & Joey as pirates from our "Murder of the Mayteys" murder mystery party that we went to at our church. Yep, our young adult sunday school class sponsors this event every year in October. You should've seen the looks and stares that some people were giving us, especially the little kids. I heard one parent explaining to his kid that those are "real" pirates ... they are just pretending. Ha-ha!!! So funny!! Yeah, we had a lot of fun that night!

How long has it been?

Oh my! Has it been since February since I've posted anything here. Wow! I guess I just spend more time on facebook than I realize. I'm not really good at this sorta blogging stuff ... I guess sometimes I just can't get my feelings out on the screen ... enough to make sense to anyone but me that is. So, here I am. In July doing my random thought process ....

Well, I don't have much time right now to post much of anything ... got A LOT going on right now ...

Dale & Kim are moving up here for Dale to finish his seminary degree so Joey is in Mississippi right now helping the process. Kim & Ashlin are here right now waiting on them to get here with all the stuff to move in this weekend. A busy weekend in store for all of us! :)

When will this winter end?!?

We've had the most snow ever this winter season! We were telling some people at church that this is the most snow we've seen in our entire lifetime!! Crazy, huh? I think the news people say we've had around 24 1/2 inches (and that's not counting what has fallen today & will come tomorrow). We really are ready for some warmer weather and maybe with that will come some better health for all of us, especially the kiddos. We've been fighting sickness for the past 2 weeks so just pray for us! Thanks! :)

This winter has proven to be an interesting one with full of snow, ice, and blistering cold temperatures

Yes, Joey has PINK hair! We scheduled a weekend lock-in with our youth back in Nov. and they asked Joey if he would die his hair "pink" if they reached a goal of having 30 youth there. And of course, he said "ok". Well, I don't have to tell you that they met their goal.

So, here he is ladies & gentlemen!!

And this is what he looked like on this Sunday at church --- everyone got a kick out of his hair! Can't you imagine!!??!!


It's so funny! This picture was taken at Burger King and we got so many looks that day. After telling a few onlookers why he had pink hair, here's what a few had to say: "I thought he lost a bet or something" ... "I just thought you (Melissa) had strange taste in men" ... "I thought he may have been in a punk rock band or something"
